I Heart Faces has a photo contest every week that I  always wanted to enter ever since I have decided to get back into photography.

Sooo...

I took this picture of Sam when it was snowing out,  and when I noticed his eyelashes were full of snow I figured it was time to go inside. He protested, of course! But before I dragged him kicking and screaming inside.. I snapped a few shots.

Winter Birthday

My nephew comes to stay with us every other weekend. This last weekend was his 12th birthday. I jumped at the chance to make some cupcakes! I got my inspiration from Tidy Mom who made some cute snowball and snowman cupcakes.

This is the first time I made butter cream frosting, but I will do it more because the flavor was great!

My snowmen are a little melty, b/c I should have put the frosting in the fridge to firm up a bit. Hey aren't snowmen supposed to melt eventually? ;)

I live in the northeast and we got a lot of snow!

We are all shoveled out now..
